M_black I hope you will get this message and help me out.
I have a: Sony A7SIII, Ninja V, H6, Rode Wireless GO II (Lav)
I wanted to record the Lav mixed in with the H6 (XY). So I'm ordering me a splitter 3.5 to two XLRs to hook up the GO II to two separate channels. Then sending that mixed signal of both the H6(XY ambiance) and the Lav to my sony and then it recording on the Ninja as well.
Now my question is would this work flow be efficient? Or should I skip going to the Sony thats recording thru the HDMI to the Ninja V and just instead go from the LINE OUT of the H6 (with a mixed signal from the H6 XY and Rode Lavs) to the the Mic/Line in of the Ninja V?
All while recording into the H6 to allow my myself to record a backup of the Lav and H6 on the H6 itself. Allowing me to record a scratch or at least ambiance and the Lav of the client or cast.
In my experience the line out of the H6 is kind of noisy. Worse than the internal recording.
The H6 IMHO should be your good audio track. The camera or the Ninja should be your scratch track.
