Godox Lux Junior & Z6
1

I saw the intro piece on the Lux Junior here and figured, what the heck, it's not that much money and might come in handy, since the Z6 has no pop-up flash. I found the pop-up on my old D200 was fairly useful for non-critical stuff.

It arrived yesterday, so here's a quick review. First, given the price, I wasn't expecting a lot.

The quality is far higher than expected. Even the box it comes in is high grade. Heavy walls, magnetic catch and a finger hole to lift out the form fitted foam to get to the included sync cord, manual and storage sack. I could complain that the battery cover is a bit thin, but it's adequate for what it has to do. Fit and finish is nice.

Hoping to use it for close-ups, maybe moving, I measured the flash duration:

full power- 2000 us (0.002 sec)
1/2- 400 us
1/4- 275 us
1/8- 200 us
1/16- 175 us
1/32- 150 us
1/64- 125 us
I didn't measure area under the curve, just the duration.

More in the next post before I run out of characters.
