I can't find the feature 'enable shutter when no lens detected'. I don't remember having to do anything with my M100 - both manual lenses that I have, work with it.

Youtube videos are mostly long and useless, and the only ones that alleged to show the fix used a different model Canon, and a menu choice the M200 doesn't have.

Anybody know the solution?

David

You need to set the camera to M, Av, Tv, or P mode, and then going into the custom functions. If you are in the full auto green A+ mode, none of the custom functions are available in the menu.

I tried that. i'm in M model - no A+ green.

And no menu function about 'enable shutter...'

Got any other ideas?

Bingo!

I hadn't noticed that there were 5 custom functions (only 1 visible at a time), and an arrow left and right to navigate. I needed CF 5

On the M100, there are only 2 CFs, and they are both visible all the time..

Glad you got it sorted. You are not alone.  Your question is a regular occurrence in these forums.
