First Bird Photo With M6 MKii
7

We are on vacation in an RV park. I rarely take bird shots but when my wife told me there is an eagle on top of a nearby tall tree I had to get my camera. I grabbed the 70-300 but apparently hadn't brought the ef/efm adaptor. Bummer!!! So I put the 18-150 on and tried to get at a good spot. The bird was tiny on the screen and viewfinder but I took some shots anyway.

Later I had to do some major cropping and was doubtful of getting a usable image.

Original Developed in DXO PL5

Cropped in PL5

After Topaz Sharpen AI

After Topaz Sharpen & Gigapixel AI @ 2x

I was a little amazed after cropping in PL5.

  • After using a way too short lens.
  • The results from my M6 MKii
  • How much PL5 could bring out
  • The improvement from Topaz Sharpen AI

It does have some blown out spots and I should probably have used a little smaller aperture to have the tail feathers better focused.

CC is welcome. Thanks for looking.
