Re: M6ii vs. R10, another observation

The R10 is pretty customisable in buttons - and what I've done is made some changes to my M6IIs and R5 to make them as similar as I can to my new R10.

Pretty sure it is... just comparing the layout and button availability. I find that all the control points on the right is very convenient.

I am sure R10 can be setup to have AF Method to be a one-button operation where as in M6ii it needs a button + dial action.

I have set up a button as a full time image magnifier on my R10 to allow accurate manual focus instantly.

Which button have you assigned the magnifier to ?

Wont be selling the M6IIs though - great cameras and no RF 11-22, 16 1.4, 32 1.4 yet.

True.

So suggest take a deep dive into the R10 manual and see what you can do and maybe adapt the M6II and R6 as well?

I guess I will see... maybe later this year or even after that and see if I need to switch sideways into an R10 (R7 gets into R6 weight/size class so no interested in that really).

M6ii will tide me out for the tiny travel duty kit. I am curious what cannon do to upgrade the RP and want to wait for that... or maybe wait a few years for the stacked sensor tech to trickle down from R3.

Currently between the R6 and the rushed purchase of M6ii ... I think I should be OK

The one thing I am looking forward to when I get the chance is to mount the M6ii on my EF 100-400 L ii and see how that goes. (Will be ridiculous but still fun I guess)
