R10 First Impressions

I got my R10 late today so I really haven't had a chance to shoot with it much yet, just a couple around the house.  This camera will primarily be for my wife, replacing her 80D which was just too bulky for her.  Of course I'll use it as well, as I have the R7.  Here are my thoughts:

It's SMALL!  This is great for my wife.  Small and very light.  It's probably a tad smaller than her previous favorite camera, the T3i.  I do like the button and dial layout however, and I love that it has a joystick. My pinky finger does hang a little bit, but I did get used to the handle quickly.

Sensor:  24mp looks like a great option for this camera.  Again, I haven't put it through it's paces yet, but some of the test shots I've taken came out nicely.  It is more noisy than the R7 at ISO above 1600 however.

Shutter:  Mechanical shutter has a very similar sound to the R7 but not as loud.  Also feels more stable, if that makes sense.  Haven't seen any evidence of shutter shock as I was shooting at around 1/80th for some shots.

Balance:  Even being as small as it is, it balances my lenses nicely.  The RF 50 f1.8, RF 100-400, Viltrox RF 85 f1.8, and even my adapted EF 300L f4 IS all balance nicely, which surprised me.

The menu system is just like all other Canon cameras, with a few features missing.  Why couldn't they put the remaining battery percentage and shot count?  Ugh....

I do like having a built-in flash again though.

Anyway, a more in depth review with plenty of pics will be coming soon.  Here are just a couple from fooling around today.
