Re: Canon M6 II with kits lens or Body only + buy a lens?

I tried DXO. For most shots in decent light, I didn’t see much benefit. And a couple hundred bucks for a handful of noisier shots, I can live with the noise.  But mine are for the family albums and not for resale.

DXO also has a much better distortion adjustment feature where one can adjust with a slider to taste

Pretty sure they all allow manual adjustment to lens corrections via sliders. DPP4 does. So does Affinity Photo. I’d be shocked if Lightroom didn’t. DPP4 does have a couple lenses where the option to mess with lens corrections is greyed out due to heavy reliance on them.

I know DXO squeezes a little more view out of these lenses at the wide end. It’s up for debate if a little wider is any better when it’s stretched beyond what the lens was designed for. I can do the same thing in Affinity. For a corner to corner optimal image, Canon’s corrections are what the lens was designed for.
