not that the RP and G7XII aren't good cameras, one can always bracket, but 32.5 mpxl with better dynamic range matters to me for landscape shooting at base iso in a single shot vs bracketing.

Nice demonstration of what DxO can do to pull back the detail in the "whites." For EOS-M shooters, DxO is the other leg of the triangle!!

It is a real world dynamic dxo demo for bean counters

yes, shooting raw and using dxo Photo Lab 5 with the m6II is key

this demo was with the m6II and toki 10-17 fe which has horrible CA under backlit conditions.  DXO was better able to remove CA than both Lightroom and Canon's DPP.

DXO also has a much better distortion adjustment feature where one can adjust with a slider to taste

and the push pull feature of dxo PL5 is demonstrated

and the biggest feature of dxo PL5 is the class leading noise reduction with its deep prime feature -- which m6II users love because it gives 1-2 stops more useability in high iso shots that one would think only vintage full frames could achieve.

A note to the OP - I agree with R2 - get the M6II plus one of the kit lenses while it is still available.  Get DXO PL5 next when it goes on sale.  And then prioritize the other lenses you want.  This may stretch the budget initially, but it is worth it in the long run.

DXO btw does not charge monthly rent

Some folks like me bought the m6II to take advantage of it's 32.5 mpxl sensor, its small size, and the great m32 f1.4 lens.  The m11-22 lens is great to carry for landscapes instead of the 16-35 L's that are heavy and I could never justify.
