M200 vs. M50, and Infrared Photography Question

There is a recent and tremendously helpful thread on the M system for IR photography -- thanks to everyone who posted there -- but I wanted to start a new thread since one of my questions is about the camera body more broadly:

1.  I've never shot the M system. If I can get the M200 (new) and the M50 (used) -- both with the 15-45 kit lens -- for essentially the same price, is there any reason to choose the M200 other than size?

2.  If I don't expect to go below 590nm, is there any reason not to just get that conversion instead of a full spectrum conversion? I plan to use the kit only for IR, and from my research so far, I think I'd be most interested in 590 and 720, so my thought was to get a 590 conversion and a 720 filter.  Is a full spectrum conversion still a better choice, and why?

Thanks in advance for your help!
