you may find that your current lenses will work well adapted to the R7 (assuming they are crop lenses) . In fact, the results may surprise you.

That said, I ended up with all RF lenses, eventually. I don't do video, so I can't help you with suggestions in that regard, however you may find some of the RF lenses that are consumer grade to be quite good overall.

Rent a R7 or an R6 for a week. Renting it is a lot cheaper than having buyer's remorse setting in later on

The autofocus improvements over the prior DSLR lineup, such as your 70D, are significant. You have the right idea in investing in the glass. RF lenses are going to be here for quite a while, well beyond when you see a R7 mark II, or R6 Mark II.
