So, I'm not from the US and lenses where I live are too expensive(I'm talking like one sigma lens costing 5 monthly wages) and I need a good, open wide angle lens for M6 Mark II, I was thinking on the Sigma 16mm 1.4 as everyone recomends it, but now knowing how the M system is basically dead and I already have a Speedbooster, should I consider getting a prime EF or EF-S lens?

The EF-M system is NOT dead, not by a long shot because nothing has replaced it.

I know they're probably gonna be more expensive than the Sigma, but I could use them in the future since there are lots of EF adapters and not many EF-M adapters when I do get a new camera. Any recomendations? Are my points valid or am I just tripping? My biggest worry is not being able to sell a R$3000 lens because no one actually owns an EF-M camera.
