Re: Canon M6 II with kits lens or Body only + buy a lens?

I'm looking to upgrade from a Canon G7X II which was my first camera that got me into photography.
I want something to step up to and the M6 II seems to tick a lot of the boxes - I know it is three years old but still looks a good camera and something newer like the R7 is a little too big of a leap for me price wise.
My main question is whether people think the M6II kit with the 15-45 lens and EVF for around £1050 is a good deal and an acceptable lens for that package? Or whether the 15-45mm lens should be skipped, and I should go for body only and buy a lens separately? That would mean not having the EVF too though. My main uses are family and travel photography.
What do people think?
This is a tough decision making process tbh.
The reason being R7 and R10 now available to order BUT not shipping any time soon unless they were pre-ordered early during the launch.
For me personally I was interested in R10 + 18-150 as a compact travel setup.
However, what would one do about UWA nothing available like the compact EF-M 11-22 ... yet.
What about sharp compact primes like the EF-M 22 and 32 ? Nothing.
Those who are interested in R7 and ordered it soon enough should be happy with their choice as I am 100% sure they already have the lenses they wanted to use that R7 with ie long telephotos.
If I had any hopes of getting an R10 I would have kept my pre-order open but then decided to go with an M6 II. I got the 15-45 + EVF kit as I was interested in getting the EVF anyways and that 15-45 is not a terrible lens at all... not the best... but totally perfectly OK.
I have also added EF-M 18-150 and EF-M 22 as they can be had for some discount on the used (or grey) market.
The travel kit for me is EF-M 18-150 and EF-M 22 though instead of EF-M 15-45 as tbh the 18-150 is more versatile and theoretically better optically than 15-45.
If you need that EVF (and I think you do) then get the kit with EVF and 15-45 and try the used market for 18-150.
I see some people recommending M50 II as well ... and that might be even better as that body has EVF already. If you don't need or rely on 14FPS or RAW burst mode then should be fine as well.
I opted for the M6 II as that is the only thing that comes close to the same experience I am now used to (and spoilt by) my R6. The R10 would have filled that gap too but it would not have been delivered before I left for my trip for which I needed the small setup.
HTH
Good luck
