Red Dot Sight (RDS)
2

The Olympus EE-1 is ridiculously expensive.

Many postings on dpreview have shown how to adapt a rifle RDS to a hot shoe mount. Here's my version. No metalworking skills needed.

Buy the parts.

Bought parts $37

Assemble them

Assemble to look like this.

Turn on. + marks the spot.

Now find a target & sight it in. The initial sight in will take an hour. Start at a modest zoom. I started at 75mm. Then go full on, in my case 300mm (MFT, so 600mm FFeq.)

Weak point: The hot shoe is not a very good optics mount. Count on an alignment session each time you use it. Also, don't chase zero. Reset & remount if you need to move too many clicks.

Now to try it in anger.
