24mm f/2.8 IS USM is not that sharp in the corners wide open on full frame so likely the speedboosted APS-C edges also affected. Also strong vignetting. Does have IS though and nice stopped down.

Sigma 16mm is nice  and not bad at edges even wide open and less vignetting- suggest get a good 2nd hand copy from a dealer and that way still get a warranty and also avoid some of a potential future price drop if selling on.
