EF-S 24 mm f/2.8 STM?

I need a good, open wide angle lens for M6 Mark II

You might consider the EF-S 24 mm f/2.8 STM on a plain adapter. I don’t know if that’s wide enough or fast enough for your needs.

New, the lens costs about R$1000, but you might be able to find one second-hand. The Canon EF-M to EF adapter is also about R$1000 new, but you can find the Viltrox plain adapter for about R$250 new.

One advantage of an EF or EF-S lens is that if you need or want to change to a new system, you can for the cost of an adapter (and possibly some AF performance). One disadvantage is that they tend to be larger. In this particular case, the EF-M 22 mm f/2 lens is also slightly wider and significantly faster.

Regards,

Alan
