Actually noise and how the R7 performs in this respect is relevant and how it compares to it's full frame peers and competing cropped sensor cameras. Raw conversion software seems to have become a tricky topic. Regarding DxO and deep prime, it works extremely well with very high ISO images in removing noise. I can see how many who have worked with high asa film appreciate grain in achieving atmosphere in a picture. A digital image without grain or noise can appear to be unnatural or even smeary to some.
So True. I remember shooting indoor action with a 10D and 20D. Sure the images had noise, but were amazing compared to the old high ISO film. As my kids grew up they were all into Taekwondo and gymnastics. I was the photographer for the Taekwondo school. Was a lot of fun, great instructors one of the owners was a 3 or 4 time Korean National champion and 2 time world champion. Watching her perform was like amazing, graceful, but powerful. People would come from all over the USA to attend her sparing workshops.
As my kids achieved their Black Belts and participated in many competitions the need for faster shutter speeds with good ISO was important. I bought a 7D and the camera was amazing for the time. I still go back and I am very pleased with what I was able to achieve with these older camera. I have re converted some of my favorite images with DXO and the results are amazing. Personally I am a happy LR to DXO convert.
