The improvements I like over the MK I

better eye AF, focuses farther

eye AF in continuous servo mode

electronic level in the face/eye AF mode

I like the idea of an electronic level. Is it available in normal shooting mode like "manual" or others?
Thank you, Dan

I use it in all TV, Av, M modes, needs customizing in menu to show both in LCD and EVF.

I found the level too distracting preferring instead to use the 3x3 grid .

I can't find the electronic level on the M50. Is it only on the M50 II?

M50mcan show it only in zone or spot focus modes but not in face tracking.

Didn’t realise that. Mind you to my way of thinking the level would be even more distracting when shooting faces as it is so large it would get in the way when concentrating on what the subjects are doing .

It's no consolation, but the level isn't available with face tracking, never mind eye AF, on the EOS R either. Probably not enough computing power.

I prefer to use it for perfect vertical or horizontal background.

m50mk ii is the same hardware as mk I, so difference is just the software, no extra computing power needed.
