Hello,

I searched all the menus including the fn but could not find this setting. Is there another way to enable this setting so I can use a manual lens? I posted this question earlier but I'm not sure I posted correctly so I apologize if it is repeated.

Thanks!

Joe,

Your Canon T3 uses an EF/EF-S mount. If the lens you want to use does not have the same mounting system, you will need an adapter. Find out what kind of mounting system your lens uses.

A company called Fotodiox makes a wide variety of adapters.

I don't know if you will find a menu setting for "release shutter without a lens" in your shooting menu. My T8i doesn't seem to have one, but I used to shoot with a manual lens on my T6 all the time.

PS: Because your camera doesn't know that a lens is attached, you will have to set the aperture manually on your lens and your readout will always show 0 for aperture on the display.
