OM Workspace AI Noise Reduction
1

I've been playing with OM Workspace (WS). By simply importing then exporting as TIFFs, I find WS does quite a bit of noise reduction and sharpening without me doing anything, go figure. Often this is better than I could achieve in Lightroom alone particularly with poorly lit high ISO pics. Note, that this is just the normal WS processing, it's not the add-on "AI Noise Reduction". Having said that, I must admit that having never used anything other than Lightroom, I simply don't understand the WS process or workflow at all so bear with me.
Now the question of AI Noise Reduction. This appears to be another level up again. I can't try it because I don't have the required hardware (GPU). Before I invest in an appropriate GPU, I'd like to know if it's worth it. Considering WS already does such a good job, will it add value?
The manual states, "You can utilize the deep learning technology to remove noise from images. This is effective for high-sensitivity shooting such as night-time shooting."
Is this saying that AI Noise Reduction is really only useful for high ISO long exposures?  I'd like to hear from those that have used it extensively.
