Powering M50 from external monitor

The monitor itself will be powered by up to two NP-F batteries, however I'm assuming that as long as the monitor is adequately powered it will supply a constant 8.4V from it's DC Out port.

I asked this question on another forum and received a reply that 7.4V is actually the minimum voltage requirement. A fully charged Lithium battery for the M50 actually supplies 8.4V. Also, the company that sold me the dummy battery replied to my email saying essentially the same thing, so I think my question has now been adequately answered. Thanks for your help though.
