Fuji has a history of updating firmware on older cameras, does anyone think they might update the X-T4 in the future?
I have no tangible evidence, but if I had to guess, I'd say the X-T4 will get a firmware update well after sales of the new bodies has waned. I wouldn't expect anything major, like bird/animal eye AF. Maybe an AF improvement of some sort, but not animals.
But, I'm totally guessing, so don't take my opinion seriously.
Yes - 2.5 year old camera with last generation sensor and last generation processor - little chance of any major improvement.
I agree, there might be an incremental update to improve the X-T4 AF, but it can't read the photometry (for subject detection) and focus data off the sensor 120 times a second like the X-H2S can.
The X-T4 can clearly read the sensor at 20 FPS so 6 times fewer frames for the slower processor to deal with. Even if the slower processor can't handle 20 FPS in the AF algorithm, if it can do 10, there are possibilities. If it can do the 20 FPS there are possibilities. I did real time programing for about 10 years and will not rule anything out. I'm not saying it can be done, the differences in the processor instruction set could be very important, much more important that the speed of the processor.

We're Noct messing around with this review.
Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom impress in a lot of ways, but their noise reduction lags the competition and their lens corrections lack a real-world basis. DxO PureRAW 3 aims to come to their rescue without totally reinventing your workflow!
The Sony ZV-E1 is the company's latest vlogging-focused camera: a full-frame mirrorless camera based the FX3/a7S III sensor, aimed at YouTubers and 'creators' looking to go pro.
