Finally got some real time with the R7 for macro. It did not disappoint. I realize the bees in flight aren't true 1:1+ full macro, but I thought some people in this forum may have some interest. The electronic shutter capabilities for the bee in flight shots made that kind of photo so much easier. Ive been amazed at the IQ compared to my 80D also. I just didn't expect there to be much, if any, improvement in terms of IQ. It's good to be wrong sometimes I suppose. The photos aren't spectacular, but I think they begin to show what to expect from that camera.

Honey Bee In Flight - Canon R7, Natural Light. ISO 2000, F5, 1/1000. Photographed using electronic shutter.....Man, for an apsc camera, this thing handles high iso looovely. I did add some noise reduction in Lightroom, but it was iso 2000 and I edited up a stop at least. Electronic shutter at 30fps made this so much easier than normal. I plan on trying this again with my full frame because I should be able to have similarish quality but be able to increase shutter speed to 1/2500 - 1/4000. It won't freeze the wings, but will show more definition along with motion I think.
All same as above. I got like 8 shots in a row, all in focus. This and the last one were both parts of the burst.
