Re: Some SD9 Color Accuracy Numbers

If a camera system gives you the look you want, it doesn't matter if the result isn't 100% realistic. I find the SD9 was effective for some kinds of shots, particularly images where I am looking for strong yellows and blues. In a sense, I regard it as a kind of special effect camera, similar to IR conversions. Where the subject suits its strengths, go for it.

The SD14 is clearly capable of very fine results, you can see examples on people's galleries. But I find it difficult to get consistent predictable colour. I have heard that the SD14 is calibrated at an individual camera level. If that is the case, I'm not sure whether that calibration works with Lightroom/Camera Raw?Anyone know?

I find The DP2M much more reliable. I'm told the q cameras are better still.

I just briefly looked over a stream from a Flickr quattro group stream and found a welcome consistency of appealing colors in the images I viewed.  None that seemed overprocessed which is a great relief.  Most of the images were taken by just a few photographers so not exactly a scientific sample.  But, they speak well of the cameras.  I would say they are in the 'seems natural' category.
