FD-EOS Macro converter
FD-EOS Macro converter

Hello everyone! Seven months ago I asked a question about which adapter might work best to allow FD lenses on my digital EOS body for macro work. All responses were good, but I discovered the best answer almost by accident. I was looking through my 1993 Canon price guide and found an FD-EOS Macro converter listed for $105 ($212.40 equivalent today). It allows for any FD lens to be mounted on an EOS body, but without an optic it was clearly designed for macro work. I found an unused one in Japan which I purchased for a little under $90. I will be able to also use my digital bodies with the bellows and slide duplicator. This might allow for scanning slides at 20MB. BTW this macro adapter, made by Canon, is not the same as the rare and expensive FD-EOS converter that allowed only certain telephoto lenses to be used.
