Nikon Ignoring the Z7II?
11

Normally I wouldn't suggest such a thing.

But I do get the very slight feeling that the Z7II is a camera that Nikon can't wait to replace. I find it a terrific and very reliable camera that happily replaced by D850.

But I'd be lying at this point if I didn't;t admit that I expected a bit more firmware tweaking from Nikon to smooth out the AF performance.

With that said, I'm NOT unhappy with the camera. For my needs, it's a fantastic bit of kit. It performed great on day 1 and I didn't expect it to be turned into a next generation camera.

Still...it would be "nice" to see Nikon provide a bit more firmware support. I have yet to pick up a Z9 (and I will), but I'll likely keep the Z7II around as a smaller body.
