I've rubbish fully plastic (including the mount) Minolta 28-80 A mount kit lens from my old film Dynax 5 I got in 2001 that still works fine with my LA-EA5 adapter (not that I actually ever use it). That said, it's screw drive, so not as technically advanced as today's ultrasonic motor lenses. I've other A mount lenses, most of which recently sold, that were in perfect working order and some over a decade old. I'd fully expect any lens bought today to last at least 15 years if not abused/used in harsh environments, and stored correctly.
