Some SD9 Color Accuracy Numbers

From time to time I have done a simple test on several Sigma cameras. The test itself is not the finest because the lighting is cheap warm LED's of unknown spectral output. Be that as it may, I shoot the 24-patch color checker, color balance on the mid-gray patch and compare the CIELAB numbers with the published numbers for my mini-color-checker.

For my latest SD9:

Notes:

The blue is well saturated at Delta-C =125%. Shades of "Foveon Blue"?

Unlike Dave's experience under presumably daylight conditions, the yellow and green have the lowest Delta-E, i.e. are the most accurate in this test. The Delta-E is for hue only - Lightness is not compared.

It is said that Delta-Es of 2 or so are "just noticeable", so all the numbers are pretty noticeable especially red and cyan ...

Not posted in rebuttal to Dave's experience - rather confirming that color accuracy for the SD9 (and indeed most if not all cameras) is quite variable and is very dependent on the scene, the lighting spectrum and the WB used.
