At my wedding shoot today my Canon 70-200 (at times) was not finding focus in auto focus. It would focus in and out but wouldn't find focus and beep like it's done for years. I could actually feel the vibration in my hands of the lense struggling to focus. I had a wedding yesterday too but didn't experience this focus issue. However the lens was on another body. Any suggestions what the remedy would be? I've got another wedding Monday so sure would like to figure this out.

Thanks in advance for your help.

It may make it easier to get a more accurate specific answer if you provided more details.

Which Canon 70-200 lens - there are several EF models (both f4 and f2.8) never mind the earlier (pre-EF) and later RF models ?

What body did it give problems on ?

What body did it work OK on ?

Did you try other lenses on the body that it gave problems with ?

What were the camera settings in use when it gave problems ? Were the settings the same on the other body (when it worked OK) ?

Was there an issue with light (or lack of) or were you using a different speedlight perhaps (perhaps one that didn't fire the red focus lines) ?
