So, please please please, go talk to to those nice, helpful people at Fringer. Do a deal to license the manufacturer of their excellent EF and Nikon F adapters. Work with them to make WR versions, shouldn't be too difficult, just a rubber gasket on the non-pro EF and F versions (although the EF Pro with it's physical aperture ring possibly plays better to your brand values, so may be do that one too).

Whatever customers they might gain with this approach the risk to Fuji is that they drop lens revenue when they have established lens range.

I can't speak for others but in my case my 'investment' in Fuji lenses is about three times the value of the bodies.

The only occasions I can recall of manufactuers support third party lenses have been when building a new system and need the traction in gaining a lens range - so that would be Micro 4/3, L mount, and Sony E. And even with Micro 4/3 I think Pansonic and Olympus were more in competition rather than being complementary at times.

I agree though Fuji is still building there lineup and at the same time modernizing some of there popular old lenses.  I think pride is getting in the way of moving forward.
