Testing Active Stabilization: ZV E10 and the E 18-135mm Lens
1

The ZV E10 has no IBIS; the 18-135mm lens has OIS. But, the E10 has a gyro and digitally can stabilize using the gyro information in real time- active stabilization while also taking advantage of the lens OIS. This is in principle superior to using gyro information in post, since one cannot shoot using the lens OIS.

This 4K video tests active stabilization with a variety of shots, including close-ups at full lens extension. One issue is how stable the shots are. Active stabilization also crops the sensor, so another issue is whether this significantly impacts resolution.

Shot in HG3 converted to REC709.
