This is how C modes work in PASM cameras and is a good thing as with just a turn on the dial you change several settings at once.

Good or bad is subjective. For you it’s good, for me it’s bad (which is why I’m not a fan of the E4 and T30 showing signs of Fuji taking the non-PASM cameras in that direction—I don’t personally give a hoot about what happens to the PASM models).

The key to understanding the “it’s bad” point of view is in realising is that it’s not just “several settings” but “two different types of settings”: both how the shot is taken (focus modes and settings, ISO, and so on) and how the image is processed (sharpness, NR, and so on). Before exposure and after exposure.

Raw shooters probably aren’t bothered much, because the image processing side of it always gets thrown away anyway. For JPEG shooters it’s much more likely to be a big deal. And one of Fuji’s selling points is the quality and flexibility of their JPEG processing.

But you still can do that. If you do not want the jpg processing to happen , then simply don't make C settings with that.

My guess as a raw shooter is that you need some discipline. What shooting situation happens often enough to warrant a C setting. I'm not sure I'd need / use all 7
