Absolute non issue as everyone should shoot RAW anyway.

Would be interested to hear more pearls of wisdom like this.

Also, even with the PASM layout, you can still independently change film sims the traditional way before each photo (Dpad left is the default shortcut) and assign anything else you might miss as shortcuts.

Film simulations are not film recipes, though.

To be fair, Fuji has never really realised the difference either, so for example once you get into recipes with custom WB, tone curve etc, film simulation bracketing starts to look like an ill-thought out concept. If Fuji properly separated the shooting settings (including ISO) from the image processing settings then image settings (film recipe) bracketing becomes possible, which would be much more useful.

Which is partly why it’s a bit of a shame (IMO) that the traditional-style cameras are now being steered to the PASM way of coupling shooting and image settings.

Not that it matters, of course, because everyone should be shooting raw. I expect Fuji will remove the JPEG option soon 😉

And on Fuji cameras there's never a "menu dive" necessary either - that's what "MY MENU" is for.

My Menu is for the things Fuji allows you to put in My Menu. Which isn’t everything. Some things (and I have no idea exactly what on the X-H line) do need a menu dive. In fact in the case of the older compact cameras with C modes on the dial I seem to recall (though not 100% certain and need to check) you can’t even change the PASM mode at all once you’re in a C position anyway.
