7d II as a backup camera for sports/action - Lexar 1066 buffer limit

I am looking for a backup camera to R6 to cover longer distances when shooting action/sports. I do not want to joggle the lenses (EF 24-70 & EF 70-200 both F2.8) during an event. I am not sure if I would want R7 for such a job. I can still get pretty new D7II for less than 1/2 price of R7.

The only gripe about D7 II is buffer limit (officially 28 RAW shots). I looked through the internet (DPReview included) and learnt that best CF card for RAW shooting is Lexar 1066, which allegedly (?) enables 50 RAW shots before buffer gives up. Can anybody confirm it?
