Just one example

As you might imagine I get a steady stream of emails from  printer users - all makes. Some include "why I'll never get another brand X". They range from technical queries to, shall we say, the more 'random'.

Generally, I never get a full background, so I can't reliably draw any conclusions one way or another from them, other than perhaps wonder every so often why some people have such extreme feelings about brands...

My general feeling is that there is no clear benefit either way and it would not influence any decision of mine to buy another big printer.

A basic lack of money takes the decision away from the 'pending' tray

However, whatever I got, I would pay for an extended warranty...
