No Finders Fee for Z30

We do a lot of shooting on our boat, but also location shoots for our film projects. We're tried those finderless cameras and they always proved frustrating to use, especially in bright light. A washed out LCD is not a good tool for composition.

So along comes the Z30 and I wonder why Nikon stayed so firmly in this particular box. Even with the little Coolpix 7700 they seemed to "get the point" and add a finder on the next model. Heck, even my Sony RX100 has a finder and my Ricoh GRIII was tossed fast after a few weeks of messing around with it.

So I look at that cute little Z30 and ponder...It's certainly nice. But why cripple it by leaving off the finder? Why not a a pop-up to cinch an otherwise solid design? They could have easily eclipsed the Sony ZV-E10 by adding a VF and maybe even IBIS.

But nope. Why build a camera that soundly bests the competition? Meet the bar rather than raise it?
