xf 50mm f2.0 autofocus speed among different cameras

I have the xf 50mm f2 for almost 8 months now. Fantastic piece overall but I have one minor gripe. Autofocus speed when having less ideal conditions. Obviously in regular lightning conditions it is pretty much instant. During nighttime in the streets though it can sometimes hunt and rarely hunt a lot (like 1-2 sec). When compared to the 18-55mm I feel the kit lens to be a bit faster at said focal length even with 2 stops difference.

I only have an X-T20 so my question is this. Does anyone use this lens with different generation cameras ? Is the autofocus during nighttime better ( i assume it is better for every lens in general but i mean significantly better for this lens specifically ) ?

disclaimer : I am aware that the 50mm is kinda the "slowest" regarding autofocus among the smaller primes. I have no idea though if hunting has to do more with the camera or the lens and its motors instead.
