Are Fujifilm cameras sold in a sealed box?
1

Bit of an odd question I accept, however with limited stocks of particular Fujifilm cameras I am wondering if there is a fool-proof way to ascertain whether you are getting a brand new item from stock vs. a display model that has been packed carefully etc. I note that with a lens, there are no security labels (as seemingly there are with say a Sony).

For certain, you can always look at the condition of the packaging etc to try and see if it has been opened (generally it is very difficult to put an item back in a way that doesn't give some indication as to being less than as new from the factory), but would ideally like one that hasn't been handled in a shop. Particularly as there sometimes seems to be an odd trend where folks like to look at the sensor etc (maybe just me, but I find it odd the number of pics that you see on auction sites etc where the sensor is on show).

Thanks in advance.
