Telephoto Solution?
1

I have been frustrated with getting sharp pics from my Oly 75-300mm and Lumix 100-300. I have tried very high speed shutters, monopods, lens IS, IBIS and nothing seems to work consistently. Some pics are sharp while others taken with the same settings and scene are varying degrees of soft. Finally, I tried something I read about here. I set the camera for CAF, E shutter, low speed burst, and manual S & A, auto ISO. At 300mm, I keep the shutter speed at 1/750 and F8. I shoot a short burst of 6 to roughly 8 pics. When I examine the pics, there are varying degrees of sharpness, but at least 2 are very good. Don't know why the results vary, but at least now, I can usually count on getting a sharp pic of the scene.
