The R5C video mode is based on Canon cinema line cameras, so it's more C70 like than any of their still cameras. For video shooters, that is a good thing because cinema camera menus use more intuitive video terminology and is better aligned to video shooting crowd. You are basically using a hybrid of 2 different operating systems from Canon for stills and video mode. It can be overwhelming for a hybrid shooter, but personally I would prefer my R5 had the same setup
