This is basically a "go away kid and read the manual" type question but I'm hoping some kind souls will give me their insights.

the r5c is a true video tool, as such it's menus are overwhelming an too complex for anyone not truly serious about video, while the r5 have friendly canon menus, that are super easy to conquer, even for the novice.

if you mean to become a "videographer" of some sort, go r5c, if you just want the ability to shoot nice video, go r5.

it's that simple!
