Another vote for FTZ + 70-300 AF-P FX if you must stay Z full frame. Shouldn't cost more than $400 together or less, if you look around for a good used.

If I were to have only 1 lens with Nikon Z FF, it would be the 24-70 F4 with 50z (okay two).

For day time sports, honestly, even a d3300 with 70-300 AF-P DX can handle it, if FF wasn't a requirement. IQ wouldn't be far behind either. Nowadays, people seems to be throwing them away - don't know why. And the combo is super light weight.
