The Moon and Planets with the M200!
1

The M200 is still on sale refurbished as of 6/24!

I got to shoot the once-every-few-decades event of all the planets visible to the unaided eye (plus the Moon) lining up in their natural order, two days in a row!

The M200 really came through as a small & light camera on the telescope, its 4k 'cropped' video did great, this is one of the reasons I bought the camera. The M6ii's 4k video is the whole frame and uses line-skipping --- I wanted the high-resolution area of the center of the frame w/4k video, thus the M200 (the M50 or M50ii would work too).

This image is a mosaic of 5 images, 1 of each planet. To make each image, I took 2-3 minutes of 4k video with the M200 through a Meade ETX-125 telescope with a vintage Kiron 2x MC7 teleconverter in Minolta MD mount, used the free software PIPP to convert the 4k video to image-stabilized, cropped video with the planet centered, used free Autostakkert to stack the highest quality 300-500 frames, used free Registax to sharpen the image using wavelets, then did final processing with DxO Photolab 5.

Here's a still photo of the Moon using the M200 and the Meade ETX-125, no teleconverter

And finally here is the fisheye view of the event, taken with the M6ii & Rokinon 8mm f2.8 fisheye, at f5.6, as the M200 was on the telescope. Field of view is more than 120 degrees: Venus was about due East and Saturn due South:
