Small image sensor and compound eye: stronger 3-dimensional effect

Around 2006, a few years after I switch to digital photography, I found that when I stared at a photo shot by small DC, it's so real and 3-dimensional as if I was inside the photo.

So I discussed it in a photographic forum, and tried to explain this phenomenon as a kind of compound eye effect. Unfortunately no one is interested in it.

A small CCD or CMOS image sensor is like a compound eye of an insert. However, we human don't have compound eyes, we do not know what a insert actually see. I hope there is a VR headset which can imitate compound eye effect.
