Two new things
6

Tiny grey fly has caught a leaf hopper.

Leaf hoppers are among the fastest insects on earth and don't get caught very often.  This one is putting up a fight and has thrown it's attacker on it's side.  The fly was still able to fly off with it.

This fly is less than two mm long.

It is on a nasturtium leaf.  I have never seen the wing pattern before and the stiff hair on the face and antenna is new to me.

I would have loved to be able to get closer but it was too close to the ground for me.

I did use the NISA filter on the end of my FE 90 mm macro lens.  I still had to crop to the max.
