DxO Photolab is the best out there, so it’ll give you the best chance possible. Besides the Deep Prime NR, it’s also a very powerful image editor, and has quickly become my favorite. Be sure to apply “Local Adjustments” to the individual areas that may need it (I use this mainly for faces).

Thanks R2 - I was playing with it last night and it's growing on me - I am a long term Photoshop user with some nice Actions that I apply to my images but PS is not the answer for all challenges. I invested in Luminar 4 and never really got on with it - wish I spent my money on PhotoLab instead..

I’m likewise a long-term Photoshop user. There’s still a LOT that it can do that other software doesn’t come close to.

But for RAW conversion (and NR of course) it’s unbeatable IMHO. Note: I have the latest Topaz suite, DPP, and Luminar too.

With PL5, if you haven’t discovered yet, you’ll be using a lot of the “Copy Correction Settings” and “Pasting Selected Corrections.” Very powerful!

You can also save any number of Correction Settings, and even apply them automatically upon opening images. For instance you may want to turn vignetting correction down to 50%, and Deep Prime “Luminance” down to 20% (as defaults). There are TONS of effort-saving tricks that can be applied.

Exciting stuff - wish I had more time to exploit. I better use my 30-day free trial productively..

Have fun!

R2
