Queries on auto focus of the Sigma 150-600mm contemporary lens on M6 Mark II
1

Hi all,

I intend to loan a long telephoto lens for a trip to the zoo. Currently, shortlisted the Sigma 150-600mm contemporary lens and Canon EF 100-400mm L II lens.

I will presume that the Canon EF 100-400 L II lens would work flawlessly on the M6 Mark II since it is made by Canon. However, I would prefer the longer focal length of the Sigma 150-600mm lens for more close up shot. I read that the auto focus of the Sigma 150-600mm may not be very consistent or eratic as such I may have more issues in obtaining a sharp image.

Would like to ask if anyone know if this issues is common, and how is the performance on the Sigma 150-600mm like on the M6 Mark II? Thanks for sharing your experience.

Canon EOS M6 Olympus E-3
