I was wondering: Would we ever see a Viltrox RF-EF speedbooster?

It already exists.

You can also buy an official OEM version made by Canon

is there a catch?

No.

Canon has made an RF speed booster! However, there's catch… | Digital Camera World

Look at the date of that article (September 2020). At that time, the only RF mount crop sensor cameras were in the Cinema line.

ok, thanks

I wonder if they make an RF speed adapter that would work with my RF85 f2 to make it 60 f1.4 on an R7?

No, that would be impossible. Speedboosters only work when you are adapting a DSLR lens with a long flange distance (EF 44mm) to a mirrorless mount with a short flange distance (RF 20mm).

ok

You could turn the EF 85mm f/1.4 IS L into a 60mm f/1.0.

60 f1.0 sounds great to me
