Wait, how many systems do you have again, MAC? lol

lol

too many

and I just added the latest iphone

your glass Feigerou is really good and would cost a small fortune for similar IQ in another system

the m6II with dxo PL5 would add speed, cropping power, and better low light - which you'd have to invest in L glass and weight to beat this IQ

the question to ask is what don't you like about the pictures you take, or want to take, and what will it take to take the pictures you want to take, and what kind of costs and weight do you want to have, if the pictures you take don't meet your needs ...

if I were in your position, with the great glass you have, the refurb M6II and DXO PL5 would be a no brainer

Good question. If I'm being honest, it's really the GAS when you see other amazing gear that has kept me from getting an M6ii already.  The key things is like to improve in my photography that gear can help with are -

  1. Higher keeper rate on event photography, which typically ends up being sports. I know the M6ii would do this, since it's AF and performance is much better than my M5.  But then GAS kicks in and I start thinking "well that R auto focus and IBIS would be amazing!' 😉
  2. More flexibility in the shots I can get. This is where an f/2.8 standard zoom would be amazing.  I still think back to a big family road trip where the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 stayed on my Rebel the entire time and was really invaluable. I had my 100mm L with and never used it because it was only for certain situations and I was always chasing kids around.  The Tammy broke down shortly after I got the M5, but it already felt huge on an M and was showing it's age against the incredible M primes.  I know I can adapt one, so I'm just being picky at this point.  That Sigma 17-50mm looks about perfect....

I have no doubts that the M6ii would easily out perform my abilities as a photographer for some time!  I keep thinking that if there was the famed M5ii (basically the R7 in M) and the Sigma 17-50mm in M mount, I would have absolutely no regrets just getting those and staying with M for a very long time.  Since those look highly unlikely at this point, it makes it harder to set my "wants" aside and "settle" on the M system as it is currently.
