green jumping spiders
6

this one is a male.

The female grows larger than the male and has an orange and white pattern on her head.  It makes it very easy to tell the sex.

This one was under the edge of a leaf.  I first saw it just on the edge under the leaf.  I grabbed the leaf at the tip and twisted it over.  I had to shoot one handed as I held the leaf.

You need this low angle to see the tufts of hair that come together above the large eyes.

I think this is a female green jumping spider but I was not able to get a shot at the right angle to be sure.

It was cool , 12 to 13 C with fog and wind.

The fog drops show in the photos as white specks or streaks.  The wind varied a lot in speed.  The spider was hanging from a long web from the tree above.

This is the closest I got to a look at the top of the head.

I don't know if it was alive but if it was, it must have been feeling very cold.

Being small and hairy or having feathers can be rough in a cold fog.

I tried till my legs would not work any more and this is the best I could do.
