With BIF, you will likely only need the 500PF, you never have too much lens in this genre, it rare.

For Aviation, if you are shooting at Air Shows, 500mm is a bit to much lens much of the time, here, your best option is the 100-400S. If your only lens then you will want a TC for sure for the BIF

It will depend on what you shoot the most. I shot my first Air Show in May and the 500PF was a bit long for the stuff right in front. But I really only shoot wildlife/BIF so I have teh 500PF and will be getting the 800PF soon.
